What does it mean to be healthy?
Health refers to the state of being free of any illness or injury. Health can mean something different to everyone and depending on how it is used, it can refer to a different state of health. Being healthy is not just being free of illnesses and injuries. Health includes your physical, mental, social and clinical state of well being. Along with that, there is also your nutrition and diet to consider. Healthiness is based on the condition of your physical, mental, social and clinical health as well has your nutrition and diet. What is physical health? What are the different types of exercise that contribute to physical health? Physical health is the soundness of your body and being free of disease and injury. Aerobic and anaerobic exercise are two different types of exercise that help contribute to your overall physical well being. What is clinical health? Clinical health refers to the support you get from doctors and hospitals. If you don't take a lot of medication and you don't have to go to the doctors, you are clinically healthy. What is nutrition? Nutrition is providing your body with the food necessary for health and growth. |
What is dietary health?
A diet refers to the amount of food a person consumes. Dietary habits are the decisions a person makes when they are choosing what foods to eat. What is social health? Social health is your ability to make and keep relationships with people. Socially healthy people will most likely have friends and may choose to participate in group activities, like clubs and teams. What is mental health? Mental health is defined as psychological well being as well as the ability to coop with ordinary day to day life. |
